3H Music Homework - The Orchestra

Dear girls,
Please familiarise yourselves with the families (and instruments) commonly found in the orchestra!

Instrument Families Of The Orchestra: String, Woodwind, Brass & Percussion


2) Explore the different instruments here:

Click on "Instruments of the Orchestra" on the left panel.
Click on a family (e.g. Woodwinds), click on any of the instruments shown (e.g. Bassoon)
Make sure to click on the little triangle besides "Hear It Play" to hear the instruments!


3) If you have some extra time, please visit 

Click on a family, and remember to click on the little triangle at the bottom of the screen to hear each family.


4) If you would like to watch the cartoon we did in class, please visit
